Gold miners spread out in the Yanomami land in 2008!

CCPY and Hutukara delivered a map of the gold miner activity in the Yanommo land. Such activity is illegal in Brazil and a huge impact on the Yanomami villages is taking place, mainly on epidemics such as malaria and flu, but also some cases of dengue. We urge the Brazilian government and other agencies to expel them from the indigenous land as soon as possible, keeping the Constitution of 1988 in its own vigor. I will be reporting some other news and documents as soon as I can link that on line.
